Invite only · Deployed per company

A private tax assistant for Indians on your US payroll.

TaxWikia is an invite-only AI application. A company requests access. After approval we deploy it only for them — for example, lumenfield.taxwikia.com — and only their work email can sign in.

  • Built for NRIs working in the United States
  • Questions, trending topics, consultations, notices, and audits
  • Filing handled by AOTAX, the #1 filer for Indians in the USA

Request access for your company

Tell us who you are. If we approve the company, we deploy a private TaxWikia site and reply to this work email.

Use a work email. Personal addresses are not used to approve a company.

Deployment

Approved once. Deployed only for that company.

TaxWikia is not a public app with a shared login. Interest starts with the company. If Lumenfield asked, and we approved them, their employees would open lumenfield.taxwikia.com and nowhere else. Another firm never sees that workspace, those questions, or those consultations.

  1. 1

    The company requests access

Someone at the company — HR, finance, mobility, or a leader — sends the company name, a work email, and their designation.

  2. 2

    We review and approve

TaxWikia is not open signup. We confirm the company and the person requesting it before anything is deployed.

  3. 3

    We deploy their private site

Approval stands up an exclusive application on their subdomain. Lumenfield, for example, would use lumenfield.taxwikia.com. No other company shares that site.

  4. 4

Employees sign in with work email

Login is limited to that company’s email domain. A personal Gmail address cannot get in, and another employer’s address cannot either.

Inside the app

Login is where the work happens.

After an employee signs in with their company email, TaxWikia is the place to ask, see what others are asking, talk to a person, and deal with a notice. Filing is handed to AOTAX.

Ask a question

Employees describe the situation in their own words: a vest, a move, a split year, a letter from the IRS. The assistant answers that case, not a generic W-2 checklist.

Trending questions

A living list of what people at the company are asking. New hires see the questions that already come up for Indians on that payroll, before they file.

AI answers

Responses are written for nonresident and resident-alien situations. The goal is a clear next step, with the points that usually get missed called out.

Book a consultation

When a chat answer is not enough, the same login books time with a specialist. No separate vendor, no new account.

Notices and audits

Help when a notice, a state letter, or an audit shows up. Employees can bring the document into the request instead of forwarding it around internally.

File with AOTAX

Filing stays with AOTAX, the #1 filer for Indians in the USA. TaxWikia is how the question starts. AOTAX is how the return gets prepared.

Benefits

Good for the company. Clear for every employee.

TaxWikia gives Indians on a US payroll a private place to ask, and gives the company one deployment instead of a pile of personal tax questions.

The company

  • One private site. Only that company’s work email can sign in, so another firm never sees the questions.
  • HR, finance, and mobility stop being the unofficial tax desk for every vest, move, and letter.
  • A notice stays with the request instead of being forwarded around internal email.
  • Filing has a named path to AOTAX, rather than a chat transcript with nowhere to go.

Your employees

  • Answers are written for an NRI or resident-alien case, not a generic W-2 checklist.
  • Trending questions show what people on the same payroll already needed, before a new hire files.
  • When a chat answer is not enough, the same login books a specialist. No second vendor, no new account.
  • The return is prepared by AOTAX, the #1 filer for Indians in the USA.

Latest question

“My RSUs vested and I still have salary in India. What belongs on the US return?”

For a resident year, the RSU value at vest is usually US compensation, and it should already appear on the W-2. Counting it again as extra income is the common mistake. Salary that an India employer paid in the same resident year still has a place on the US return. A year split with India is different: the months before you became a resident are not treated like the months after.

Points usually missed

  • Whether the vest and the India salary fall in the same resident year.
  • Shares withheld for tax at vest, so the cash you received is not the full amount.
  • A bonus paid after you moved, for work done before the move.

The questions

Written for Indians working in the US, not a simple domestic return.

Most tax software assumes one country and one W-2. Employees on an approved TaxWikia site are usually NRIs navigating two tax systems, equity, and family ties that stayed in India.

Status

NRI and resident-alien years

Substantial presence, a first year in the US, a year split with India, and which return that points to.

Pay

RSUs, bonuses, and India salary

Equity that vests in the US while compensation, allowances, or a prior employer still sit in India.

Treaty

US–India positions

Which income is taxed where, and the questions that show up when both countries have a claim.

Accounts

Foreign accounts and reporting

Bank accounts, investments, and retirement still held in India, and the forms people forget until a notice arrives.

States

Moving between US states

Office changes, remote periods, and which state expects a return when the year was not spent in one place.

Family

Dependents and ties to India

Spouse or children still in India, gifts, and the household facts that change the US return.

Filing

Answers in TaxWikia. Returns with AOTAX.

AOTAX is the #1 filer for Indians in the USA. TaxWikia does not leave an employee with only a chat transcript. From the same company site they can book a consultation, get help with a notice or an audit, and move the actual filing to AOTAX.

Request access

From question to filed return

  1. 01Employee asks inside the company deployment.
  2. 02Trending questions show what peers already needed.
  3. 03The assistant answers, or they book a consultation.
  4. 04Notices and audits get a person, not a template.
  5. 05The return is filed with AOTAX.
